Sri Lanka Vs South Africa 2nd T20I Preview and Betting Tips

South Africa

We can’t really call this the ultimate South African win but at Cape Town, the Proteas would have realized how much the T20I can sting if there is lack of application.

If it wasn’t for David Miller the South Africans were staring down the barrel in the first match. In some ways, David Miller has shown how impressive he can be if he’s allowed time in the middle and there have been numerous debates around it whether he could be promoted to maybe a higher number. With many vital players rested for the next game could we see Miller getting a promotion up the batting order?

In resting so many key players has South Africa left the door open for Sri Lanka?

The player under the spotlight

Much has been said about Aiden Markram and his recent form. He even scored a 67 not out on his return in the Fifth ODI. A beleaguered side with many players missing could be looking up to him to provide them with a good platform from where they can post or chase down a total.

Probable XI: Aiden Markram, Reeza Hendricks, Dwaine Pretorius, Rassie van der Dussen, David Miller (wk), Jean-Paul Duminy, Andile Phehlukwayo, Anrich Nortje, Dale Steyn, Lutho Sipamla, Tabraiz Shamsi

Sri Lanka

The Lankans will be very proud of the way they conducted themselves and fought back in the 1st T20I. They did exactly what they needed to do. And that was waiting for the opposition to make mistakes and keep their own plans in place.

With a considerably weakened South African side facing up to them the Lankans would be licking their lips with the prospect of snatching a few more shock wins.

Thisara Perera would be gutted about what happened in the 1st T20I because that was exactly the situation where he needed to stand up and make the difference. He’ll be looking to make amends for the same in the 2nd match.

Probable XI: Niroshan Dickwella (wk), Avishka Fernando, Kusal Mendis, Dhananjaya de Silva, Angelo Perera, Thisara Perera, Kamindu Mendis, Isuru Udana, Akila Dananjaya, Lasith Malinga (c), Jeffrey Vandersay

Sri Lanka Vs South Africa 2nd T20I Betting Tips

The depleted batting order would affect South Africa’s ability to score big. With a regained confidence Lankans would be raring to go in the 2nd T20I and are the favorites to win this one.

With both teams fielding a not so accomplished batting order one would expect the score from either of the teams to hover around 150.
