Perth Wildcats vs Brisbane Bullets Basketball Match Preview
Perth Wildcats are on a terrific run. In the last round, they took down South East Melbourne on the road and thrashed table-toppers Sydney Kings at home comfortably. Perth is still 2nd on the points table with 10 wins and 5 losses but they have certainly lessened the gap at the top with Sydney and would be heading into Round 11 with extra confidence.
Brisbane Bullets, meanwhile, are having a poor season. They have been inconsistent and not been able to win regularly. This is why they find themselves at the bottom half of the points table for the season – placed 7th with 6 wins and 8 losses. They are coming off a crushing loss against the last-placed New Zealand Breakers which would have certainly dented their confidence.
Interestingly, though, the Bullets had defeated Wildcats 87:78 earlier in the season at home. That was earlier last month, however. A lot has changed since then. Now when Perth hosts Brisbane at their backyard they will begin as favorites.
Perth Wildcats Form
Perth Wildcats finally seem to be getting their rhythm spot on. Their last round performance was terrific, especially their 96:77 drubbing of toppers Sydney at home.
Bryce Cotton (21 PPG) has been their most consistent player and will continue to be the star to watch out for. He’s scored a whopping 53 points in the last 2 games combined and will remain the biggest threat for the Bullets. Terrico White, Nicholas Kay and Dario Hunt will be the other payers who can leave an impact.
Brisbane Bullets Form
The Brisbane Bullets have a lot to worry about. They have lost 5 of their last 7 games and simply don’t seem to get into a rhythm. Their home win against Illawarra Hawks was good. But they slipped badly when they were thumped by the 8th placed New Zealand Breakers.
Lamar Patterson (19.93 PPG) has been doing the bulk of the scoring for the team and is coming off a phenomenal game against the Breakers where he scored 36 points. That, however, wasn’t enough. The Bullets would hope that Nathan Sobey, Jason Cadee and Matthew Hodgson contribute in this game if they hope to take down Perth.
Perth Wildcats vs Brisbane Bullets: NBL Betting Tips
It is worth noting here that Perth has won 5 of the last 6 games they have played at home against the Bullets. Moreover, they have an impressive 10-4 record at home in the last 12 months.
The Bullets, meanwhile, haven’t had a great record on the road this season – they have managed only two wins from their eight road games so far.
Thus, it goes without saying that the Perth Wildcats begin as favorites for this clash against Brisbane Bullets and should be backed to win.
