New Orleans Pelicans is coming off a 130-84 rout against Dallas Mavericks, while Detroit Pistons picked up a close win over the Pacers in the final seconds.
Pistons’ Last Game
The Pistons led by 11 at the half, but trailed by the Pacers 31-16 in the third quarter to take a four point deficit into the final period. With the score tied at 101 with less than one minute to play, Detroit scored the final seven points to seal the victory.
Andre Drummondand and Blake Griffin scored 25 points each for the Pistons. Kennard added 15 points and Rose had 14 points. T.J. Warren scored 26 points and Malcolm Brogdon added 21 points for the Pacers.
Pelicans’ Previous Match
The Mavericks dominated the last game from start to finish, charging out to a 3-point first-quarter lead and increased to 12-points at the end of second quarter. The Pelicans increased the gap to a humongous 38-points in the third quarter and that steadily grew and reached 46 at the end of fourth quarter.
JJ Redick led the Pelicans with 15 points, Jrue Holiday and Brandon Ingram scored 14 each and Jaxson Hayes added 11, while Luka Doncic scored 26 points, six rebounds and nine assists for the opponents.
The Pelicans are in a disastrous form this season and are on a eight-game losing streak. The team are the worst team in the NBA as the team placed second-last in the Western Conference standings with a 6-17 record.
The Pistons played exceptionally well for the last few weeks as the team have won three of their last four matches. The team have a 9-14 record and are placed 9th in the Eastern Conference just 2.5 games behind the eighth-seed Orlando Magic.
