Panathinaikos BC vs Anadolu Efes Betting Tips – EuroLeague Match Preview

Anadolu Efes will look to keep their winning run going when they travel to face Panathinaikos BC on Thursday in the EuroLeague.

After losing their opening game of the campaign, Anadolu have gone on a four-game winning streak. They faced Barcelona in the first game and lost 74-64. That loss woke them up, and the Turkish side have been brilliant since then. Alba Berlin were their next opponents, and Anadolu claimed a 106-105 win in overtime. Point guard Vasilije Micic had 23 points and 13 assists to lead his side to a close victory.

Since then, Anadolu have beat Valencia, Real Madrid, and Crvena zvezda in the next games. Micic has been the star performer for Anadolu, and he is averaging 18 points per game in the EuroLeague. No other teammate of his is contributing more. Bryant Dunston and Shane Larkin are the other players who are into double figures. Micic is averaging 7.8 assists per game, and only one player in the entire competition is averaging more.

Courtesy of the four consecutive wins, Anadolu are fourth in the table right now. At this stage, they are in a good place to make the playoffs. Anadolu are going strong in the domestic league as well. After five games, they have lost just once. After winning the league last time, they are strong favourites to repeat their success. They will hope to clinch the EuroLeague as well this time after finishing as runners-up last season.

Panathinaikos have also played five EuroLeague games, but they have lost thrice already. The Greek side is 12th in the table as they attempt to make the playoffs for a tenth successive time. Panathinaikos were crowned EuroLeague champions in 2011, but they have failed to make the final since. They have been knocked out at the quarter-final stage in each of the past seven seasons. Last season they had a 16-14 record in the regular season.

Panathinaikos faced Khimki in their last EuroLeague game. Khimki claimed a 103-86 win comfortably. Jimmer Fredette top-scored for Panathinaikos with 16 points, but it was not enough in the end. Fredette is averaging a team-high 15.2 points per game in the EuroLeague. Nick Calathes and Deshaun Thomas are right behind him, and the trio are responsible for the bulk of the scoring.

In the Greek Basket League, Panathinaikos have been perfect. They have won all five games by an average margin of 24.2 points. Panathinaikos won the league last season after finishing third in the regular season. Their most recent league game ended in a 108-86 win over Aris. Many of their major players did not feature, but it did not affect the outcome of the game.

Panathinaikos BC vs Anadolu Efes Betting Tips

Panathinaikos will make it tough for Anadolu, but the Turkish side have enough to get the win. Both teams should score over 70 points, and it will be a high-scoring game. Anadolu will win by a margin of fewer than 10 points to extend their winning streak.
