New Zealand vs India 3rd T20 Prediction

India will take on New Zealand in the final T20 International of the series at the Seddon Park, Hamilton on Sunday with India aiming to continue their unbeaten winning streak of ten series in T20Is across all competitions and New Zealand hoping to end the series on a winning note.

After a comprehensive 4-1 win in the five-match ODI series against New Zealand, India began their three-match T20I series with its worst ever T20I defeat in terms of runs against New Zealand. Then, India smashed New Zealand by seven wickets in the second Twenty20 to level the three-match series at 1-1 on Friday. New Zealand were batting first and set a target of 159 that India chased down with seven balls remaining.

Meanwhile, New Zealand have shown inconsistency throughout the season with two wins in their last seven matches. In the second T20, the hosts top-order batsmen failed to provide the same good start they had during the first T20I of the series. The partnership of Grandhomme and Ross Taylor guided the hosts to a respectable total of 158/8, but India’s Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant played a commendable part in the victory over Kiwis.

Now, the final game of the series will be do-or-die situation for both sides. With the Indian team dominance in the Test and ODI Series and, more significantly, Rohit Sharma remaining at the helm, it is difficult to overlook the India as anything but title winners this series. We expect India will win this game here.
