NBL Preview, Betting Tips and Prediction

Melbourne United vs Sydney Kings Prediction

The Melbourne United will face Sydney Kings in their semi-final series with the first game on Thursday in Hisense Arena (Melbourne). Melbourne United enters in the NBL semi-finals after a crucial 81-70 overtime win at home over Perth. Basically a low-scoring battle that Melbourne trail for most of the game, scored the final seven points to send the game into overtime. Overall, the club are in a good form through-out the season sitting second in the league standings with a record of 18-10.

Sydney Kings have qualified for the playoffs for the first time in six years after setting up a semi-final series against Melbourne United. The club finished third on the NBL standings with 18 wins. Meanwhile, Sydney Kings coach Andrew Gaze has confirmed he will quit the club after this year’s National Basketball League playoffs.

Both teams have already met four times this season which ended in three wins for Melbourne United and one win for Kings. Melbourne United are more able than Kings to dribble, pass, and shoot the ball. The Kings have been the favorites through-out the season, but considering the home advantage, past performances and scoring abilities of Melbourne United even if they lost to Sydney last start, we predict Melbourne United will come out as a winner in the end.

Perth Wildcats vs Brisbane Bullets Prediction

Perth Wildcats host Brisbane Bullets in the best-of-three series on Thursday in RAC Arena (Perth). Perth Wildcats came into this game after facing defeat to Melbourne United in over-time in the final game of the home and away season, while Bullets enters into this game with a 84-78 win over New Zealand Breakers in their final match of the ANBL season.

Perth Wildcats sits at the top of the league table with a record of 18:10. Perth Wildcats are in superb form this season but inconsistency constantly holds back. The club have started the season being pretty impressive having lost just two games against Bullets and Sydney Kings in their first thirteen games, followed by four consecutive defeats and winning just one game of their next eight games, and then bounce back losing only one game of their last seven games.

Brisbane Bullets have qualified for the NBL play-offs for the first time since 2008. The hard-fought win came in the most dramatic of circumstances thanks to Lamar Patterson who scored a three-pointer in the final minute. Overall, the club are in bad shape for the past few weeks, winning just two games and losing five of their previous seven games.

Both teams have already met four times this season which ended in each team winning two games. It’s difficult to predict the winner of this game as both teams have performed equally decent in the tournament. We expect an attacking game here so place your bets on Total Points- Over 175.5.
