Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals Preview and Betting Tips

Mumbai Indians

A decent side that has been boosted in the middle order by the addition of Yuvraj Singh, Mumbai Indians would be looking to make a fast start to their campaign and make a statement early on in the tournament (something that they’ve not done often).

With a pretty balanced unit and a probable opening combo of Quinton De Kock and Rohit Sharma, Mumbai Indians could be fielding one of the most competent opening combinations of the tournament and it would be interesting to see whether they field a settled outfit or not.

The player under the spotlight

It’s about time Rohit Sharma takes the role of opening the innings because let’s face it, there aren’t many in the world who do it as well as him. With Yuvraj/Ishaan Kishan at No.4 providing decent stability, Rohit Sharma could be the guy who takes the team to massive totals.

Probable XI: Rohit Sharma (c), Quinton de Kock, Suryakumar Yadav, Yuvraj Singh, Krunal Pandya, Hardik Pandya, Ben Cutting, Jasprit Bumrah, Mayank Markande, Adam Milne ,Mitchell McClenaghan

Delhi Capitals

The name is changed but the DNA remains the same. Delhi is a team with a bunch of amazing prospects who can do some serious damage. But the question with them has always been whether they would be able to mount a sustained challenge and more importantly, play as a unit.

It is true though that with players like Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer and many other talented individuals the team doesn’t lack talent in any capacity. The question remains whether it would deliver or not.

The player under the spotlight

It has to be the flashing blade of Rishabh Pant. Even Sourav Ganguly has called him the future of Indian cricket.

Probable XI: Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer (c), Colin Munro, Axar Patel, Chris Morris, Trent Boult, Kagiso Rabada, Avesh Khan, Amit Mishra

Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals Preview and Betting Tips

You get the feeling that Mumbai Indians would be better at getting off the hook early. They have a more balanced side with a proven track record as well and not forget the home advantage. Mumbai is the favorite for this one we could expect a high scoring match with scores close to 200.
