Miami Open 2019 Preview and Betting Tips

Novak Djokovic vs Bernard Tomic Betting Tips

Novak Djokovic meet Bernard Tomic in the second round of the Miami Open on Friday, hoping to bounce back after a disappointing early exit at Indian Wells.

Djokovic made a confident start of the season, reached at the semi-final of the Qatar Open before losing to Roberto Bautista-Agut in three sets, winning the final game to Rafael Nadal at the 2019 Australian Open, but then fell to Kohlschreiber at Indian Wells. He is six times champion at the Miami Open, but hasn’t won a single match in Miami since 2017, even lost to Benoit Paire in his opening match last year.

Bernard Tomic is in terrible run of form this season and heads to this contest with a 3-5 win-loss record. He entered into the second-round of the Miami Open after defeating Thiago Monteiro 6-4 6-1. Tomic began this season with a first-round defeats at the Australian Open and Delray Beach, second round defeat to John Isner at the New York, and failed to qualify for Acapulco and Indian Wells.

Djokovic has won all five of his previous meetings with Tomic and we expect Djokovic winning trend will continue here. The odds provided by the bookmakers for Djokovic winning the game in straight sets are very low. We suggest you to place your bets on Total Games.

Radu Albot vs Roger Federer Betting Tips

Radu Albot made a confident start to his 2019 campaign after winning his first ATP title at Delray Beach, but he was forced to play qualifiers in the Miami Open due to his weaker ATP Ranking. He won his first round game against Matthew Ebden, winning the first set 6-0 and led the second set 3-2 when Ebden got retired.

Roger Federer heads to Miami Open after losing to Dominic Thiem in the final at Indian Wells last week. He has dropped from fourth to fifth in the ATP Rankings as a result of the defeat. After a shock loss in the 4th round at the Australian Open he’s been in sublime form as he recently notched up his 100th ATP title at Dubai.

Federer is in a superb run of form this season with a record of 12-2 and has won the Miami Open three times in the past with the last one in 2017 where he beat Rafael Nadal in straight sets. He is expected to get through this game in a straight forward manner.

Kevin Anderson vs Jaume Munar Betting Tips

Kevin Anderson started the 2019 season on a winning note, winning his sixth ATP title after beating Ivo Karlovic 7-6 (4), 6-7 (2), 7-6 (5) in the Maharashtra Open final, followed by early round exit at the Australian Open and then he has withdrawn from the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells due to an elbow injury.

Jaume Munar heads into this contest after defeating Prajnesh Gunneswaran 7-6 (7/3), 6-4 in the first round of the tournament. He is in a good form at the moment, reached the four quarter-finals in 2019, including the Maharashtra Open, Cordoba, Buenos Aires and Rio Open.

It’s difficult to predict the winner of this game as both players are equally dominant in return games. We expect both players will strive hard to win this match so place your bets on Over 23 games.

Pablo Andújar vs David Goffin Betting Tips

Pablo Andujar came to this game after eliminating Croatian player Ivo Karlovic in the first round 7-6, 6-4 of the Miami Open. Pablo is in disastrous form this season, suffered early round exits in all major tournaments and entered to this tournament with a terrible 0-3 record.

David Goffin are in bad shape this year with a 4-6 ATP singles match record before coming into Miami Open. He was beaten in the Opening round games to Filip Krajinovic and Gael Monfils at Montpellier and Rotterdam. A win over Simon and a semi-final against Tsitsipas would dramatically improve his confidence moving forward, but David Goffin have shown inconsistent results this year.

Goffin is better hard court player than Andujar, so we expect him to seal his place in the third round with a straight-sets win.

Grigor Dimitrov vs Feliciano López Betting Tips

Grigor Dimitrov started the 2019 Miami Open campaign with a 5-2 record. He made a good start in 2019, defeated Yoshihito Nishioka and John Millman in straight sets before losing to Kei Nishikori in the quarterfinals of the Brisbane International. In the Australian Open, he made it to the third round, defeating Janko Tipsarevic and Pablo Cuevas in the first two rounds before failing to Frances Tiafoe in the third round.

Feliciano López came to this game with a win over Benoit Paire (7-5, 4-6, 6-4) in the first round of the Miami Open on Thursday. Lopez has failed in the opening rounds of all Challenger events except the Mexican Open, where he reached at the semi-final of the Men’s Doubles.

Dimtrov has got very strong forehand and is clear favorite to win this match here. We predict Dimtrov will come out as a winner in the end.
