KKR Vs RCB Preview
It doesn’t matter what the result is, this match is going to be one heck of a spectacle in this IPL. AB De Villiers and Virat Kohli playing at the Eden Gardens has got to be one of the best display of world cricket at the moment. Coming back to the teams, Royal Challengers have finally started achieving some level of stability within their unit, but the finishing touches are still missing. The team lacks proper bowlers and is losing again and again because of that very reason.
KKR, on the other hand, is a victim of their gross mishandling of talent. It’s hard to understand why Shubhman Gill, one of the best emerging talents from India who had just scored a 69 while opening in the previous game gets dropped down to number 6 in the order behind everyone. KKR has the team to cause crazy damage in this tournament, but they seriously need to sit down and think how they want to use their players.

Form Guide (LLLWW)
Kolkata, if it plays to its potential, will destroy any team in this tournament, but the way they have gone about things is almost shocking. Shubhman Gill is not a hitter, and he needs to be stopped getting treated like one. He should not bat lower than No.4 and If the Narine-Lynn combo is not working (which it isn’t recently) then opening with Gill is an excellent alternative. Currently, KKR is KKR’s enemy, and they need to change that.
The player under the spotlight
Dinesh Karthik came under some severe attack on Twitter from even players like Manoj Tiwary who made accusations against him promoting himself up to the order keeping the WC squad date in mind. It’s not a surprise anymore that KKR is struggling massively by not using their resources fruitfully. It would be interesting to see what decisions DK makes this time around to turn things around.
Probable XI: Chris Lynn, Sunil Narine, Robin Uthappa, Shubhman Gill, Nitish Rana, Dinesh Karthik, Andre Russell, Harry Gurney, Piyush Chawla, Kuldeep Yadav, Prasidh Krishna

Form Guide (LWLLL)
RCB would have been happy to notch up its first win of the tournament against Punjab, but they were brought back to the earth as Mumbai dismantled them with a clinical victory over them. It’s the same old story for RCB right now as their Batsmen are under too much pressure because of the weak bowling attack. They’d have to find a way out to rectify this by either chasing or backing themselves to score whatever score is put in front of them or by batting first and taking the opposition out of the game by posting a massive total.
The player under the spotlight
The equation is simple for RCB; they need an AB special to win the match. They’ll need a score in the vicinity of 200 if they need to have a fighting chance of getting a win considering the presence of Russell in the opposition.
Probable XI: Parthiv Patel. Virat Kohli, Moeen Ali, AB De Villiers, Shimron Hetmyer, Marcus Stoinis, Navdeep Saini, Umesh Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Pawan Negi
The pitch has had some assistance for the bowlers, but it’s usually been conducive for stroke-play and batsmen have relished scoring freely on this one. A score of around 180 should be par in such conditions.
KKR Vs RCB Prediction
KKR has more ways to snatch victory against RCB, they can bat well, they have good bowling, and the depth that they have overall is better. For RCB to win they need to score big or back themselves to chase anything. KKR is our pick for this one.
