SRH vs MI Preview
A team with a lot of talent against a team with a lot of talent that is performing well at this stage, the clash between these two teams is going to be epic. Both Sunrisers and Mumbai are coming off credible wins in their previous games with Mumbai notching up an impressive fightback win over Chennai while Sunrisers have kept the momentum going with a comfortable win over Delhi.
Sunrisers at the moment has most of the boxes checked except one where they’re still not entirely confident of how the middle order is going to fare in case of a failure at the top. Mumbai, on the other hand, is trying to overcome a familiar foe as yet again they’ve struggled to get things going in this tournament. Historically speaking the teams have been pretty neck and neck against each other with SRH holding a slight advantage over MI.
Form Guide (WWWL)
Despite having a loss against their name, the Sunrisers have been pretty clinical in their approach and have done a commendable job in all their matches. They put on another good performance against Delhi and if any they might be slightly worried about the potency of their middle order as they’re banking on Mohammad Nabi over Kane Williamson. In terms of team combination, they won’t be looking to make any changes as the winning combination has performed admirably over the last few matches.
The player under the spotlight
Manish Pandey hasn’t had much time in the middle throughout the IPL tournament, and after getting bumped down the order in the minimal opportunities where he’s batted, he hasn’t contributed much. Warner and Bairstow have pretty much performed in every game for SRH, and with Kane Williamson absent, they might be looking at Pandey to provide that much-needed stability.
Probable XI: David Warner, Johnny Bairstow, Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Deepak Hooda, Yusuf Pathan, Mohammad Nabi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma, Siddharth Kaul
Form Guide (WLWL)
Mumbai is slowly started to come together as a unit now and with Pollard also hammering a few in the last match the team would not be looking to make too many changes in the eleven and could field the same side against SRH.
The player under the spotlight
Rohit Sharma played an uncharacteristic inning in the previous match, and it did appear that he was trying to set himself up for a big one. Rohit by his admission hasn’t contributed as well as he would have liked this season as he hasn’t converted his starts into some massive scores. He would be looking to settle down this time around and score a big one because against opposition like SRH it would be needed.
Probable XI: Rohit Sharma (c), Quinton de Kock, Suryakumar Yadav, Yuvraj Singh, Krunal Pandya, Hardik Pandya, Keiron Pollard, Jasprit Bumrah, Mayank Markande, Jason Behrendorff, Lasith Malinga
The two teams will be playing on a pitch that yielded 230 runs in its previous innings. The pitches at Hyderabad have been characteristically flat, and another high scoring encounter could be in store for the fans.
IPL SRH vs MI Preview and Betting Tips
SRH is in red hot form while MI is still figuring things out. It’s going to be pretty close between the two teams, but if Mumbai is not able to break through SRH’s top order, they could be in a lot of trouble. Looking at the form of the two sides, SRH seems to have the edge and would be the favorites to win this one.
