Head to Head: RCB 16-5 DC
RCB vs DC Preview
Looking at the Head to Head would make you think that RCB are in with a great chance against Delhi but the ground reality and current scenario would really make one question that judgment as RCB is struggling badly at this point of time and have not even clocked a single win in the whole campaign.
Delhi, on the other hand, has been pretty up and down with their performance in IPL. They’ve been impressive in one game and then really horrible in the next. What works for them is the fact that they’re all a bunch of new upstarts who are really looking to make a mark on the sport and don’t want to leave any stone unturned because of which they don’t really dwell too much on their past performances.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
Form Guide (LLLLL)
RCB didn’t know what hit them when Andre Russel just did what he’s been doing to every team in the tournament but they would take solace in the fact that the game saw a return to form for both Virat and AB and they really were able to smash the bowlers out of the park. The bowling form of Chahal would be a positive as well for the team and they would be looking to carry the form into this game.
In the team combination, it would be really interesting to see the route RCB take as they dropped Umesh in the previous game but Southee went for 61 in his 4 overs. They could bring back Umesh and Put in Hetmyer in place of Nath.
The player under the spotlight
The game against KKR marked the return to form for AB and he yet again showed why he’s adored by everyone. RCB would be really hoping that AB keeps the foot on the peddle because if he does then inadvertently RCB is going to notch a win sooner than later.
Probable XI: Parthiv Patel. Virat Kohli, Moeen Ali, AB De Villiers, Shimron Hetmyer, Akshdeep Nath, Marcus Stoinis, Navdeep Saini, Umesh Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Siraj.
Form Guide (LLWLW)
For Delhi it comes down to the application, the team doesn’t lack talent in any which way, what it lacks is the application. If they’re able to apply themselves in difficult situations they can beat any team. They might need to work a bit on the team balance as well because if they really don’t want to use Ishant then why play him? Ishant on a pitch like the one in Bangalore might come in handy.
The player under the spotlight
Shikhar Dhawan has blown hot and cold this season. In the earlier matches, he played the role of an anchor and let the players around him express themselves but he hasn’t really emulated that run since then. He’ll be looking to get back to form because he won’t get that many opportunities than at Bangalore.
Probable XI: Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer (c), Colin Ingram, Rahul Tewatia, Chris Morris, Sandeep Lamichhane, Axar Patel, Kagiso Rabada, Ishant Sharma
The conditions in Bangalore are conducive for a score in the region of 200. The previous game has shown that sometimes even the score of 200 is not enough. RCB might still be looking to try and bat the opposition out of the game by posting a huge total.
IPL RCB vs DC Betting Tips, Odds, Preview and Prediction
Delhi has a decent batting strength to add to a very good bowling attack that constitutes Lamichanne, Morris and Rabada. In a game where both teams are going to score big, a better bowling line up is going to come in handy. Delhi are the favorites going into this one.
