Bristol City vs Reading

Bristol City will host Reading as they look to maintain their playoff push. Bristol are in sixth place, which is the last playoff spot. The likes of Middlesbrough and Derby are close behind, which means that they can’t afford to slip up.

Reading are just four points clear of safety, and they are battling to avoid relegation. Bristol are the better side, and they will be favorites for this tie. The total goals should be over 2.5, as the game will be exciting for the neutral.

Leeds United vs Wigan Athletic

Second-placed Leeds will welcome Wigan to Elland Road on Friday in the Championship. Leeds have lost two of the last five games, and they could lose their automatic promotion spot. Meanwhile, Wigan are just two points above the relegation zone, and they are pushing to avoid relegation.

Wigan’s away record is poor, and they have claimed just one point from their last five away games. Leeds will go into the tie as huge favorites, and a home win is highly likely. Along with success, a clean sheet is also expected for Leeds.

Middlesbrough vs Stoke City

Playoffs-chasing Middlesbrough will take on Stoke City at the Riverside stadium in the Championship. Boro are seventh in the table, just one point below the last playoff spot. They have won their previous two games, which included last week’s 1-0 win over Hull City. Middlesbrough are the most strong defensive side in the league, and they will go against another team tight at the back.

Stoke are in 16th place, and woefully out of form. They have won just once in their last seven attempts. A tight game will be seen at the Riverside, as total goals should be less than 2.5. Middlesbrough will be the favorites to get the three points.

Birmingham City vs Derby County

Derby County will travel to St. Andrew’s to take on Birmingham City on Friday. Frank Lampard’s side have playoff hopes, and they are currently 8th in the league. It is a tight race, and a string of results should push Derby into the top six.

Birmingham are in 18th place, having a six-point cushion over the relegation zone. Neither side is in great form, but Derby won their last game 4-0 against Bolton. They should clinch the three points again this Friday, but with both teams likely to score in this one.

West Bromwich Albion vs Hull City

Fourth-placed West Brom will entertain Hull City at The Hawthorns on Friday. West Brom won 4-1 last time against Preston, as Dwight Gayle scored a hat-trick. They have won five of their previous six league games, with the only loss coming against Millwall.

Hull City have slim playoff hopes, and they are currently in 9th place. They lost to Middlesbrough last time but had won the three games preceding that. This game should be a tight one, but West Brom should have enough to get the three points. The total goals expected to be less than 3.
