The Detroit Pistons will take on the Indiana Pacers in the NBA League at Little Caesars Arena on Wednesday night, with Pistons hoping to bounce back after having their two-game winning streak snapped and Pacers looking for a third straight victory in the League.
Indiana Pacers registered a 111-102 home victory against Detroit Pistons in their last contest on Monday night despite injuries to their two guards, Darren Collison and Wesley Matthews. Piston made a confident start and took a 33-23 lead after one quarter.
Pacers made a good comeback during the second quarter and built a 59-55 halftime lead. The Pistons cut their four-point halftime deficit and took a 77-74 third-quarter lead before the Pacers answered with a 13-3 run that put Indiana back on track 87-80.
Thaddeus Young led the Pacers with 19 points, nine rebounds and five assists. Bojan Bogdanovic and Domantas Sabonis each scored 18 points while Myles Turner added 17 points. Wayne Ellington led the Pistons with 26 points. Reggie Jackson contributed 22 points and Andre Drummond added 18 points.
The Pacers are struggling in recent weeks having lost seven of their eight games as well as nine straight losses on the road. The club sits fourth in the Easter Conference and are tied with the Boston Celtics in the same conference.
Detroit Pistons are in decent form for the last few weeks, winning five of their last ten games. The Pistons sits sixth in the Eastern Conference table with a 39-38 record, sitting only 1.5 games ahead of Orlando to remain in the playoff contention.
