The Los Angeles Clippers host Golden State Warriors in Game 3 of the NBA Western Conference playoffs at the Staples Center on Thursday night hoping to continue the momentum on Game 3 of their best of seven first-round series.
Warriors opened the playoff series with a 121-104 win over Clippers at home on Saturday night. The Clippers made the best comeback in the playoffs history and defeated the Warriors 131-135 in Game 2 at the Oracle Arena to level the series 1-1.
Golden State made a confident start in Game 2 and took a lead of 31 points during the third quarter, but Lou Williams guided the Los Angeles Clippers to overturn a 31-point deficit to stun the defending champs. Lou Williams led the Clippers with 36 points on 13-22 shooting while Steph Curry led Golden State with 29 points.
Meanwhile, Golden State Warriors will miss their center DeMarcus Cousins for the remainder of the NBA Playoff game after suffering a quad injury in the first quarter of Game 2 to the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Los Angeles snapped their four-games losing streak against Warriors in the regular season and playoffs series and will be looking forward to lead the Clippers back into this series in front of the home fans. The LA Clippers finished the regular season as the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 48-34 record and have won three out of their five last games at home.
Warriors are in exceptional form through-out the season in NBA action and sits at the top of the Western Conference table with a 57-25 record.
Clippers are undoubtedly a dangerous side on their day, but the team appears weak for the strong squad Warriors here. We expect Warriors will come out as a winner in the end.
