Chennai Super Kings Vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Betting Tips

Head to Head:CSK 14-7 RCB

Chennai Super Kings

The defending champions will be raring to go on their home turf and most importantly they’ll be looking to put a marker down. The team with a DNA similar to their earlier units on the first look gives you an impression of an old, jaded outfit. But if 2018 was anything to go by, this outfit works and it works so well that it wins the entire tournament.

If you go through the team you’ll see a unit that is raring to go. Watson is in red-hot form, Rayadu has been there or there about, Jadhav is in good form and so is the captain. Ngidi’s loss might not be welcome news but you expect CSK to cope well with it.

Chennai would be looking to get things running and deliver a statement of intent from the first match itself.

The player under the spotlight

It’s slightly shocking that at only 32 yrs old it looks like Suresh Raina is at the twilight of his career. He’s been a bit up and down in the last few years and once a batting mainstay in the Indian team he doesn’t feature in it anymore. Could this be the season where Suresh Raina finally makes the comeback or is it really the beginning of the end for him?

Probable XI: Shane Watson, Ambati Rayadu, Suresh Raina, Faf Du Plessis, MS Dhoni, Kedar Jadhav, Dwayne Bravo, Ravindra Jadeja, Deepak Chahar, Mohit Sharma, Imran Tahir

Royal Challengers Bangalore

RCB will more often than not have a very simple mantra for the IPL. Virat Kohli will most likely open the innings with De Villiers at 3 and Hetmyer at 4 and if RCB has to win then one of them will have to score a match-winning knock. It’s still a bit unsure where Moeen Ali will fit in, whether he’ll open the innings or come in the middle but either way the equation is pretty simple for RCB, if AB, Virat, and Hetmyer get going they’ll bank a few wins off them especially at Chennai where sometimes a big total is tough to chase down.

The player under the spotlight

The world was heartbroken last year when AB announced his decision to retire from international cricket. But a year since that decision AB is back to India in RCB colors, playing IPL(sadly not the world cup) and every cricket fan would be just glued to the screen to watch him put on the magic that only he can.

Probable XI: Parthiv Patel. Virat Kohli, AB De Villiers, Shimron Hetmyer, Moeen Ali, Colin De Grandhomme, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Umesh Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Siraj

The 14-7 head to head scoreline does suggest the mismatch this has been over the years. CSK looks more complete in every aspect and would be the outright favorite to take this one.

If CSK bat first expect a total north of 180 on a batting friendly track against a relatively weak bowling lineup. On the other hand if RCB bats first, you can expect a total in the region of 160(unless Kohli, AB or Hetmyer really kick on).
