BNP Paribas Open 2019 Preview and Predictions

Marcos Giron vs Miomir Kecmanović Prediction

Marcos Giron is off to a winning start in the opening qualifying round of the BNP Paribas Open, then lost the momentum before locking down a 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 victory over Thomas Fabbiano to move ahead. And Marcos produced some of his best tennis this year, reached to the semifinals at the Challenger Cleveland, winning the Men’s Double title at Dallas and Newport Beach and claimed his first career ATP Challenger Tour title at the inaugural Orlando Open, defeating top-seeded Darian King of Barbados in straight sets.

Miomir Kecmanovic also made a confident start to his campaign as he beat a qualifier Luca Vanni 6-3, 6-2 in the opening qualifying round of the Indian Wells Masters. Kecmanovic made a good start this year, reached his first Grand Slam main draw after three wins with just one set dropped in total and then struggled on the form in Cleveland and Dallas. Following the major disappointments in the Challenger Series, he is back at Indian Wells Challenger, hoping to get back into the top-10 and stay in the race for the NextGen Masters.

The outcome of this match is difficult to predict as both sides will be desperate to win this game. We anticipate a fairly balanced showdown between two players so place your bets on Total Games.

Lukáš Rosol vs Alexei Popyrin Prediction

Unseeded Lukas Rosol heads into this game after defeating Bernard Tomic 7-6(5) 2-6 6-3, seeded fourth in the qualifiers, in their first qualifying round of the BNP Paribas Open, while Alexei Popyrin progressed with a routine 6-3 6-3 win over Slovak Jozef Kovalik.

Lukas Rosol entered the week in Indian Wells, but he remained in search of his first title win of the 2019 season. He appeared in a number of Challenger events and Futures Series this year, but failed to progress in the fourth round of any major events.

Popyrin commenced the New Year in style with wild cards entry into the Brisbane International, the Sydney International, and the Australian Open while achieved his first Grand Slam win by defeating Mischa Zverev in straight sets. Popyrin have got very strong forehand and is clear favorite to win this match here. Rosol will undoubtedly frustrate Popyrin, but Popyrin is expected to come out as a winner in the end.
