ATP Miami Open 2019 Kyle Edmund vs John Isner Preview and Prediction

Kyle Edmund will take on John Isner in the fourth round of the 2019 ATP Miami Open in Florida, with Edmund hoping to seal a spot in the tournament’s quarterfinals and Isner aiming to win his ninth consecutive match at the ATP Masters 1000 event and to defend his Miami Open title.

Kyle Edmund enters into forth round after an impressive 6-4 6-4 victory over Milos Raonic. John Isner advance to next round with a 7-5 7-6 (8/6) victory over Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas to set up a third career meeting with Edmund.

John Isner started the 2019 season with the first round defeat against Reilly Opelka at the Australian Open, but made a good recovery in the next ATP events. Isner reached three consecutive ATP Tour semi-finals in New York, Delray Beach and Rio de Janeiro before losing to Karen Khachanov in the fourth round at Indian Wells.

Kyle Edmund, on the other hand, are in a struggling run of form this season and enters to the Miami Open 2019 with a 2-3 win-loss record. Kylie made a poor start of the 2019 season, losing to unseeded Yasutaka Uchiyama at the Brisbane International. Then, Edmund again failed in the first round of the Australian Open and Indian Wells, only capping the season with his maiden Oracle Challenger Series title.

Isner has been pretty solid season so far this season and came to Miami Open 2019 with a 10-6 record. He won the Miami Open title in 2018 after beating Alexander Zverev in three sets. He is expected to get through this game in a straight forward manner.
