The Philadelphia 76ers will take on Brooklyn Nets in the NBA playoffs at the Wells Fargo Center on Monday, with Philadelphia hoping to bounce back tonight by upsetting the Nets in Game 2 and Brooklyn looking forward to an impressive 2-0 lead against Sixers.
The Brooklyn Nets started the 2019 NBA Playoffs in style, defeating the third-seeded Philadelphia 111-102 at the Wells Fargo Center to register 1-0 lead in Game 1 of their best of seven series Saturday night.
Nets took a 9-point lead after the first quarter and increased to 11 at the end of the third quarter. But in the fourth quarter, the 76ers managed to cut their deficit to two points but couldn’t prevent Brooklyn from winning the game.
D’Angelo Russell led the Nets with 26 points. Spencer Dinwiddie and Caris LeVert combined for 41 points. Jimmy Butler led the Sixers with 36 points while Joel Embiid contributed 22 points.
The Brooklyn Nets are in excellent form for the last few days, winning their previous four games in the league. The Nets are placed sixth in the Eastern Conference standings and have claimed the final playoffs spot for the first time since 2015 with a win over the Indiana Pacers last weekend.
Philadelphia 76ers are in a decent run of form over the past few days, winning only four of their last ten games. The club are placed third in the Eastern Conference with a 51-31 record.
